EECI is proud to present a fully automated turnkey ultrasonic inspection solution to inspect tubes for longitudinal OD/ID defects, Transverse OD/ID defects, wall thickness monitoring & lamination defects using a tube rotation immersion technique.
The system can operate in complete auto mode from kick-in of untested tubes from the Inlet cradle to kick-out with segregation into accepted/rejected tubes. This is possible due to the high level of integrated automation using sophisticated software for the test task.
The system meets international standards such as
ASTM A450, ASME SA 312, ASTM E 213, A 1016, EN 10246, ISO 10893, AMS 2631D, AMS-STD 2154A & similar.
The calibration notches are of N5 depth and are tested in clockwise and counter-clockwise directions on the OD and ID. The calibration defects for laminations are flat bottom holes. The wall thickness measurement resolution is as low as a few microns.
The test bench consists of a stainless steel immersion tank with innovative water level control using dual gates at the entry and exit of the tank. The probes are fixed on manipulators which are activated based on the position of the tubes. The manipulators have fine position adjustments for the probes.
The system consists of a high-end PLC and HMI, which allows the operator to intuitively control the system in auto and manual modes. Every mechanical movement, including probe engagement, water supply, and alarm systems can be controlled via the operating panel. An in-depth feedback system via sensors keeps the operator updated on the current status of the system.
Test electronics consist of our high-end solution using the versatile model DUT-e08 hardware. An industrial-grade PC hosts the acquisition and analysis software. This software is used to set up the UT parameters individually for each channel and create an informative list of Online & Offline reports like individual strip charts for Flaws and WT, defect logs for each tube, tube status, and further, multiple reports of customized formats can be generated by the operator.
